  1. I have only practiced this twice since we only learned it in class on Wednesday. I need to use a wall to make sure that my back is properly supported, but this was a refreshing practice. I have been using this in the middle of long sessions of practicing piano, and this makes 5-6 hours stretches of practicing much less draining. This allows my mind to relax from the intense focus, this creates a break in my day that allows me to focus when I need to, and relax when I need to.

  2. I was only able to practice once this week outside of class, but I plan on trying to practice at least five times a week. Hoping to try again this weekend. My experience with Isha Kriya so far has been positive mentally, but definitely a little challenging physically due to holding the posture. I used the support of a pillow to help relieve some stress.

  3. I have practiced twice since our class on Monday. I do see how essential it is, and I can see and feel the benefits, I want to raise my vibration, and it helps me to take a moment to de-stress. I will try to find time to do it before our next class, and I hope to see more improvement!

  4. I have been practicing this since we had class on Wednesday so about 3 times and I have had some issues with keeping my posture but usually when I find myself slumping because I wanted to try doing it without the support of the wall and I have been able to sit up and fix myself. The breathing and the vibrations that I feel as I say the words have actually help me decompress and it has also helped with reduce some of my stress, anxieties and insominia so I can’t wait to continue doing this.

  6. This week I have only been able to practice the Isha Kriya three times, once before class Wednesday, and twice afterwards. Overall I feel as if it is a time I don’t need to think about all the daily stressors I am surrounded with. Though, I cannot lie, in that I do find my mind still wandering during this time to other things I need to do. In the future I hope to further my focus and benefit the full effects of this practice.

    • Don’t worry if you just stick to your home practice regularly it will allow you deep relaxation and peace and you will no longer have to think about your thoughts during IK, OM

I successfully completed the entire Isha Kriya once this week. Prior to this, I made three seperate attempts, lasting around ten minutes each. I had such a tough time with the meditation because I felt extremely uncomfortable and restless for a number of reasons. However, by my fourth attempt, I was a lot less stressed, which translated to my meditation. Although I was in a bit of discomfort, I enjoyed the meditation more than I previously had. My favorite part of the meditation was breathing deeply and methodically. I am also happy I was able to practice my chanting.

I have practiced 4 times this week. After the 2nd or 3rd attempt focusing became a lot easier, and I hope to keep improving hopefully enough for my attention to improve in other facets of my life because attention is something I struggle with sometimes. I also want to improve my breathing regulation in the process.
