Listen Up….Second reading available now…..

Standard

Reading from “When Things Fall Apart” by Pema Chodron. This is a good listen to my reading of “When Things Fall Apart” it gives us lots to think about. This book offers advice and tools to help us settle and strengthen ourselves to manage the emotional rollercoaster of the social injustices and atrocities. Some may think Yoga & Meditation are escape mechanisms but rather they can be valuable to help us stand still and clearly look at our reality. So many people who feel they are not directly affected by racial injustices but who want to be sympathetic and helpful are asking, “but what can I do?” Yoga & Meditation helps us to find our authentic selves to have the patience and courage to feel what is there that we may have become numb and oblivious to, and to act appropriately when the time is right. In this reading it’s almost 40 minutes as I read to you 3 chapters. I first begin with showing how to do the Finger Holds, a simple but complete and powerful tool to balance our 12 major organs and bring wellness to 144 body systems. You might like to do 36 Breaths first and then hold each finger for 2, 3, 5 minutes each. You may like to use a timer. Perhaps listen while getting ready for bed, or anytime in the day/night. Listen in sections and place the video in your Watch Later folder/Youtube. If you want to get notified when the next chapters are read do click the Notification button after you Subscribe. This helps me build the channel and if you are not so interested but do still want to help me build the channel, place the video on mute and let it play to the end. But I really hope this is helpful for you and that you choose to leave me comments for dialogue, that you share with your friends and family to widen the conversation. Let me know your thoughts….Namaste, Julie Broglin

Here’s a Darshan by Ashwin Mohan about one of the secrets of Nath Yoga

IMG_0524▶ Nagayama – YouTube.

There are several types of Classical Yoga and Nath Yoga is one that still keeps to the traditional ways.  Thanks to the Graces of Ashwin Mohan who shares with us a Prescription for Inner Strength and Vital Living via activating Naga Vayu.  Naga Yama is a powerful visualization in which we begin to plant the seeds for our future growth, well being and successes.  These seeds are our thoughts which become our activities and actions that play out our Vision.  We come to understand that these seeds are our valuable energy source for expansion and fuels our goals and Vision, moving forward in our real life timeline.  By re-visiting our Vision often as Affirmation we continue to project ourselves positively within our Vision in space in time as a protective shield for inner and outer benefits.  I love when he shares that just by sitting back and accepting the status quo and being numb is for rats!  We can choose to just maintain or grow!  Checking in with our Vision and supporting it with Affirmations helps us to know where we are which determines where we can go. Thanks to Ashwin Mohan in Bangalore, India for sharing these secrets with us, he has given permission for All to share….so please spread this post with all who you care about, especially children and young adults….and most importantly do give him a “thumbs UP” on the Youtube link….of course he would love to hear your comments too!  Adesa Adesa…..Namaskaram OM!

Please click the link to view a short video with Sadhguru once again putting us straight on what is Yoga…..and how becoming humble to the reality of what we matter in this life, cosmos, etc.  We often invest a great amount of energy in developing a ego-powered fantasy about our significance and the truth of the matter is if we could just accept ourselves for what we truly are for this short span on earth, the truth can yield a better way of being.  Namaste OM

“The Spiritual Significance of the Equinox” – From – The Isha Blog

There are many significant auspicious dates and holidays to begin now and it may be confusing to some new to Authentic Indian Yoga and others may just enjoy the festivities without wondering about the underlying scientific realities.  Thanks again to the Isha Blog for posting a short video by Sadhguru that explains a little about the Equinox and our relationship to the possibilities.  “Allow yourself to shed the Ego and delve deep into your Limitless-ness!  Thanks to my Friend Alka Mukerji (a wonderful and talented Banarsi artist living in New York) for letting me share one of her watercolors with you.  Guru Ranjan from Isha Foundation shares: “September 23rd is Mahalaya Amavasya, also known as Pitru Paksha.  This is a day to make an offering to honor all the previous generations of people who have contributed to our life.  Without them, firstly, we would not exist here; secondly, without their contribution we would not have all the things that we have today.  So, this is a day when we express our gratitude to all of them.  Mahalaya Amavasya also marks the beginning of Devi’s time.  The earth is acting out her role as a woman.  The quarter from the Amavasya to the beginning of Uttarayana in December is known as Devi Pada.  On this day, if you have a Yantra, Gudi or photos, you can do sadhana and puja….” [My friend Uma made sure I received this from Isha/Guru Ranjan to share with all the aspiring Yoginis and Yogis, thanks Uma! and today marks the Birthday of good friend Uday Arya who embodies the energy of this season so wonderfully]

Next will come Navarathri (nine nights celebrations) and Diwali thereafter OM.  Just click the link under Alka’s watercolor (in the center to watch the short video). Namaskaram.
